A. 2018 473 Approval of the recording of the Official City Election Results for the Special Election Referendum to permit and regulate Sunday sales of Distilled Spirits or Alcoholic Beverages for Beverage purposes by the
Drink from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The City of Smyrna's total current registered voters are 35,493, of those registered 22,965 (64.7%) voted. Those voting yes, in favor of the additional hour and a half for the Referendum were 17,170 (76.44%). Those voting no, against the additional hour and a half in the Referendum 5,292 (23.56%). The Referendum passed to allow Sunday Alcohol sales by the Drink from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM increasing the pouring time by an additional hour and a half.
B. ORD2018 1 Approval of Ordinance 2018 19 to amend the City of Smyrna, Georgia, Code of Ordinances providing for the amendment of Chapter 6, Alcoholic Beverages, Sec 6 61, Hours of Operation, subsection (e); Sec. 6 62, Sunday Sales permit, subsection (a) to allow an additional hour and a half to Sunday Sales from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Effective immediately.
C. 2018 472 Approve to purchase the Fuelmaster AIM 2.4 Fuel Management System as part of the FY19 Capital Improvements Fund for a total cost of $63,805.48. This equipment purchase will be from Frank & Jones, Certified Fuelmaster Distributor, 100 Perimeter Park Drive, Suite H, Morrisville, NC 27560.
D. 2018 474 Approval to purchase a 2019 Mack TE64R Chassis Garbage Truck with a Heil Dura Pack 5000 32 CY Rear Loader and 2 (two) Heil Dura Pack 5000 25 CY Rear Loader refuse collection bodies for existing garbage trucks. The garbage truck and refuse collection bodies are funded in the FY19 Vehicle Replacement Fund for a total cost of $402,616.00. The vehicle and equipment purchase will be through Sourcewell cooperative Heil Contract # THC 112014 to Carolina Environmental Systems, Inc., 500 Lee Industrial Blvd., Austell, GA. 30168
