Smyrna Library, Meeting Room

Tinker Tuesday offers hands-on building activities for kids and adults working together. (Please no daycare groups.)
The library's goal for Tinker Tuesday is to provide an opportunity for an adult and a child to learn together and work collaboratively to solve a problem or create something new. Tinker Tuesday is not a drop-in program for all ages. It is designed to be a one-to-one learning experience for elementary-age children and their parent/caregiver. The activities are too complex for children under five years old.
February 19, 2019 - Paper Circuits
Create a paper circuit that lights up an LED and is powered by a battery. Make a robots eyes glow, light up fireflies, or create your own design. Combine drawing and collage with electronics for a one of a kind design. Materials are underwritten by a grant from Google Fiber.
Supplies for Tinker Tuesday were purchased with generous grants from the Friends of Smyrna Library, Gas South, Croy Engineering, Advanced Disposal and Google Fiber.
