City facilities are Closed to Public Access Until Further Notice In Response to the COVID-19 National Health Emergency
Effective, Monday, March 16, 2020, City facilities are closed to public access in response to the COVID-19 national health emergency and social distancing objectives.
These closings include all City operated buildings and facilities, including City Hall, the Community Center, Parks facilities, Parks & Recreation rental properties (Reed House, Taylor-Brawner House, Brawner Hall, and Aunt Fanny's Cabin), the Library, the Wolfe Center, the Recycling Center, and the Smyrna Museum. Events and activities have been cancelled.
Public Safety is operational as is the Public Works Department with curbside trash and recycling collection on regular schedule.
The payment window for the Water Department at City Hall may be used to make payments.
City staff are working, but in come cases, special arrangements have been put into place in support of the national effort to confront the spread of COVID-19.
