153^rd Birthday Celebration and Culture & Spirit Festival

Join us for the 153rd Birthday Celebration and Culture & Spirit Festival on October 4 from 11:00 am - 10:00 pm in Village Green Park, Smyrna Market Village and on Atlanta Rd. We'll have lots of live music, cultural performances, fireworks & more! Additional information will be provided as we get closer to the event.

The Lineup for the Birthday Celebration Bands.  

• 4:30 pm - Spin Doctors on the Community Center Stage at Village Green Park
• 7:00 pm - Kool & The Gang - Atlanta Road Stage
• 8:30 pm - Fitz and The Tantrums on the Atlanta Road Stage

• More performances happening all day during the Culture & Spirit Festival will be posted as we get closer to Oct. 4

About Table Reservations (Please Read All Content): The Table Reservation process (which is managed by the Parks & Recreation Department) takes place next week (Residents – Sept. 2 and Sept. 4 / Non-residents Sept. 4 and Sept. 5). If you are a resident and this will be your first time participating in the table reservation process, Parks & Recreation staff are asking you to (prior to the Sept. 2 or Sept. 4 reservation dates) go ahead and set up an account at https://secure.rec1.com/GA/smyrna-ga/catalog . You will need to make sure that the system recognizes you as a resident. If it does not, you need to reach out to Jodi Mills at jmills@smyrnaga.gov to make sure that it can be fixed before the reservation date(s).  

Tuesday, September 2 Premier Tables will go on sale at 10:00 am  for Residents  (September 4 at 10:00 am for non-residents)

1. These tables will be set up among the first 10 rows of tables
2. Cost is $250

Thursday, September 4 Regular Tables will go on sale at 10:00 am for Residents (September 5 at 10:00 am for non-residents)

1. These tables will start in row 11 and may be as far back as row 47 (last row)
2. Cost is $200

For Residents:  Prior to the Sept 2 or Sept 4 sale, those that will be purchasing for the first time should go ahead and set up an account at https://secure.rec1.com/GA/smyrna-ga/catalog

You will need to make sure the system recognizes you as a resident.  If not, please reach out to jmills@smyrnaga.gov to make sure that is fixed BEFORE the sale date.

How the system works: The system recognizes the total inventory available.  As the inventory is put into the cart, the system removes these from available inventory.  IF multiple people add to cart at the same time, the system may recognize that the inventory is gone and say sold out.  Once in the cart, the item is held for 15 minutes for the customer to complete the transaction.  If the customer does not complete the transaction in that allotted amount of time, the inventory becomes available again.
