City of Smyrna residents can drop off their large trash items for free at Public Works during Bulky Trash Amnesty Day. Proof of residency (license or utility bill) is required.

• Saturday, October 18, 2025
• Time: 8:00am-1:00pm
• City of Smyrna Public Works, 2190 Atlanta Rd.

Items Accepted:

Furniture: sofas, chairs, tables, desks, dressers, cabinets, etc.

• Appliances (no Freon containing items – refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, etc)
• Toys – large toys, basketball hoops, etc.
• Lawn furniture
• Mattresses and box springs
• Book shelves
• Metal fencing
• Carpet
• Mirrors
• Lamps
• Auto parts – doors, frames
• Gas grills
• Electronics (Note: electronics can also be recycled 5 days a week at the Smyrna Recycling Center) 

Items NOT Accepted:

• No tires
• No construction debris (drywall, wood decking or fencing, etc)
• No lawnmowers
• No propane tanks
• No paint or other household hazardous waste
• No refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers (no Freon containing items)
