Kim Chesney works in the ancient medium of encaustic, using molten beeswax, natural resins, and pigment
fused with heat to create richly layered and tactile works of art. With over a decade of experience in this
medium, her work incorporates handmade papers and natural materials sourced from around the
world. Kim will share the history of encaustic, her creative process, and the stories embedded within
these works.
Kim Chesney's encaustic art will be on exhibit in the upper level Friends Art Gallery in March and April, 2026.
