Description: Join the Smyrna Arts Council’s presentation on modern art for an engaging look at how contemporary artists are shaping today’s creative landscape. This session explores key movements, emerging trends, and the ideas driving modern work. Whether you’re an artist or simply curious about contemporary art, you’ll gain a fresh perspective on what defines “modern” and why it matters now.

Presenter: Greg Martin

Greg Martin began his career as a newspaper journalist after graduating from the University of Georgia in 1994. Greg worked as a photographer as well as writer and editor for several community newspapers including the Athens Banner-Herald. After leaving newspapers, he continued pursuing photography, completing his studies at the New York Institute of Photography.  Over the course of his career he has served as a wedding photographer, fine art photographer and has received recognition in fine art juried showcases.
