Independent Air Quality Testing Update (Tuesday, August 20, 2019)
Independent Air Quality Testing Update - Tuesday, August 20, 2019
Smyrna and Cobb County, through the Air Quality Oversight Committee established by Mayor A. Max Bacon, are moving forward with independent air quality testing with full agreement to sample and analyze ethylene oxide within one-mile and five-mile radius of the Sterigenics plant in unincorporated Cobb County. The City of Atlanta has joined the independent air quality testing effort.
Though results may not be available for a while, we want our community to know that work is being done and the independent air quality testing is moving forward as proposed, planned and approved by respective governmental bodies.
Cobb County has posted video of the Monday, August 19, 2019 Community Meeting held at the Cobb County Civic Center at https://youtu.be/FoB7q9FXcGU
