REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
WOLFE ADULT RECREATION CENTER RENOVATION
The City of Smyrna is seeking sealed proposals for a unit-price contract for the addition of a unisex family restroom on the east side of the existing Wolfe Adult Recreation Center located at 884 Church Street, Smyrna, GA 30080. This is a Community Development Block Grant funded project.
One (1) original and one (1) copy of the Proposal is due no later than 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 to: Kelly Brown, Purchasing Manager, City of Smyrna, 2800 King Street, Smyrna, Georgia 30080 where they will be opened in the Human Resources Conference Room at City Hall. This is a sealed bid and electronic bid submissions are not accepted.
Due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, we will schedule site visits on Monday, October 19, 2020 between 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM and Tuesday, October 20 - Wednesday, October 21, 2020 between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM with one or two contractors per time slot. Please contact Kelly Brown (kbrown@smyrnaga.gov) to schedule a site visit. Face coverings are required.
The City of Smyrna uses an e-procurement system for electronic solicitation through BidNet’s Georgia Purchasing Group. The Instructions to Bidders and all other Contract Documents are available on BidNet’s Georgia Purchasing Group website via the City of Smyrna Purchasing Department’s Web Portal for Sealed Bids at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/georgia/cityofsmyrna.
QUESTIONS: All questions or requests for additional information must reference RFP 21-010 Wolfe Adult Recreation Center Renovation and must be submitted in writing by noon, Thursday, October 22, 2020 on the BidNet e-procurement site. Addenda will be posted on the BidNet Direct site. After the RFP is issued, no contact will be permitted between bidders and any other City staff members or elected officials, except through the Purchasing Manager. Due to closure of City Hall and power outage on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30, 2020 - the bid due date has been extended to Thursday, November 5, 2020 - 10:00 AM.
