The function of the Budget Office is to plan, prepare, and monitor the City's operating and capital budgets. This Office reviews the efficiency of City activities, provides financial analyses, monitors monthly spending to ensure budgetary compliance, and keeps an updated Schedule of Fees & Charges. The Budget Office also serves as a public resource providing budget information to citizens.

Budget Process / Annual Budget Hearing

After a staff presentation and public hearing on May 19, 2025, the City Council voted to adopt the FY 2026 budget on June 2, 2025. An electronic copy of the adopted budget is available below. Hard copies of the adopted budget are available for review in the City Clerk's Office at Smyrna City Hall and at the Reference Desk in the Smyrna Public Library.
