The Smyrna Recycling Center, operated by the City of Smyrna and supported by Keep Smyrna Beautiful, is a drop-off facility open to all—residents and non-residents—that offers comprehensive recycling services, education programs, and community engagement to promote environmental stewardship and reduce landfill waste.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 8:00am-4:00pm and Thursday, 10:00am-6:00pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. 

The Smyrna Recycling Center will be closed Saturday, August 30, 2025 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

How to Use the Center

• Presort your items before arrival.
• Enter and park along the building or covered area.
• Self-service drop-off; ask staff for help with special items.
• Place recyclables in the correct bins.
• The center does not pay for any materials dropped off.

Recycling Guidelines

• All containers must be clean, dry, and empty.
• Fees apply to select items (TVs, monitors, and paint).
• Remove tops from plastic containers and glass jars.
• Flatten cardboard.
• Aerosol cans must be completely empty.

Tours: Monthly tours are offered to the public on the 3rd Friday of each month from 9am-10am.
