Children’s Library Services & Activities
The Smyrna Public Library offers approximately 40 programs each month during the school year, including a variety of storytime classes and events for children of all ages. Each storytime is designed to actively engage your child in early literacy development and instill a life-long love of learning. For your child to get the most out of the classes and events we provide, we strongly recommend each caregiver to be actively engaged in the program along side their child. Doing so makes for a fun learning experience for everyone!
Every summer, we encourage students to read over the summer break and to participate in our annual Summer Reading Program. We feature lots of special events all summer long, including magicians, puppet shows, and more!
We offer a monthly online calendar which details the variety of classes and events that Smyrna Public Library has to offer families and children of all ages. To stay up to date with the latest information about Smyrna Public Library and it's programs, sign up for our bi-weekly e-newsletter by clicking here. We hope you can join us for the fun!

2. Watch one of our middle grade book talks and hear a library staff recommendation.
3. Complete a request form for recommendations from the Youth Services Librarian. Be sure to include the age, reading level, preferred genres, and number of recommendations desired.
