Chief Keith Zgonc was appointed Chief of Police for the City of Smyrna in April of 2021. Chief Zgonc began his law enforcement career in 1991 and has served both the City of Smyrna and the City of Sandy Springs during his 30+ year career. Chief Zgonc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science degree from Liberty University. He is a graduate of the 224^th session of the F.B.I. National Academy as well as the Senior Management Institute for Police. He has served as a board member for both the Georgia Chapter of the F.B.I. National Academy Associates as well as Atlanta METROPOL.
