The Council is charged with providing effective municipal government consistent with the needs of the City and the boundaries of the City budget. The Council appoints the City Attorney, City Administrator, City Clerk, Municipal Court Judge and Solicitor.

City Council meetings occur at 7:00 p.m. the first and third Mondays of each month inside the Council Chambers at Smyrna City Hall at 2800 King Street. The public is invited and encouraged to participate.
