The Department Keep Smyrna Beautiful has become the Department of Environmental Services.

The change is to eliminate the confusion between the non profit Keep Smyrna Beautiful, Inc and the City of Smyrna department. The name is the only change. The Environmental Services Department will still provide oversight and guidance to Keep Smyrna Beautiful, Inc.; will still oversee the Smyrna Recycling Center, the Smyrna Community Garden, the Outdoor Market; and, still take the lead on some of the City’s sustainability efforts.

Keep Smyrna Beautiful, Inc (KSB) remains as strong as ever with their programs and projects concerning litter prevention, beautification and community improvement, and waste reduction/recycling. This change will let residents and businesses know for certain when they donate their time and/or money that is going to the non profit. Keep Smyrna Beautiful’s most popular programs include Adopt-A-Mile , Rivers Alive, Bring One for the Chipper, and The Great American Cleanup. KSB is an award winning organization both in state of Georgia and across the country. They have won over 20 national awards from Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation and Keep America Beautiful.
