Starting, Thursday February 21, 2019 the playground system located within Tolleson Park will be closed for renovations.  This closure will last approximately three weeks, weather dependent.  During this period, the remainder of the park system will be fully operational.  Please feel free to reach out to the Community Center for updates during the closure at (770) 431-2842.

Spring Break Camp

Campers will be movin' this week.  Our spring break camp is going to be a STAY-cation.  Campers will enjoy the sights and sounds of Smyrna and beyond.  All of the adventures will be posted prior to the February 25 registration date.  This camp is going to have limited space...please sign up early to reserve your child's seat on the FUN bus.

  • Time:  9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (early drop off and late pick up available)
  • Location:  Smyrna Community Center
  • Ages:  5 - 13 years
  • Fee:  $150 Resident / $175 Non Resident (additional fee for early drop off and late pick up)

Evening with the Easter Bunny

Hop on down for a night of carnival games, inflatables, a "bunny hop" and yes, candy filled eggs.  We will end the evening with a movie for the kiddos.  Preregistration is recommended.

Parks & Trails

Thanks to the citizens' overwhelming support for the 2005 Parks Bond, the City was able to develop several new parks and improve many others. The proximity to multiple play areas, ball fields, and natural environments helps make the Jonquil City a peaceful place to recreate.

Smyrna Community Center on the Village Green

 The Community Center houses two gymnasiums, fitness equipment, and a walking track. Most of the City-sponsored programs and activities are held in this facility. Rooms and meeting space are available for rent.
 Aline Wolfe Adult Recreation Center Adults age 55 and older have access to their own fitness equipment, exercise classes, and therapy pool at the Aline Wolfe Adult Recreation Center on Church Street.  
Brawner Hall at Taylor-Brawner Park Did you know that Brawner Hall at Taylor-Brawner Park has meeting space? That the Taylor-Brawner House may be a great place for a special event? For more information or contact the Brawner Hall representative at (678) 631-5545 for an appointment.
