Working with a diverse team of researchers, Dr. Marchione conducted an in-depth examination of the black experience in the City of Smyrna and its immediate environs. Dr. Marchione's presentation will furnish a richly detailed, chronological history of the black experience in Smyrna, based on a panoply of newspaper accounts, oral interviews, and census data analysis, accompanied by much new photographic materials.

Join the students of Covenant Christian School in celebrating the lives, art, and culture of African American artists. Each grade level was introduced to a different renowned artist or African theme. They were then challenged to create their own work of art based on that inspiration. Come see how truth, goodness, and beauty shine in their creations.
